The August 21 is a special day to Funchal, because it marks the Day of the City. In addition to the official ceremonies - including a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Igreja do Colégio and also a Solemn Ceremony in the Paços do Município - the Day of the City was also marked by the completion of a wide range of activities, sports, recreation and cultural and culminates with a concert in the Santa Catarina Park.
