Also known as the Blandy Gardens since the property was acquired by the Blandy family in 1885, these gardens are located on a hill to the west of Funchal and offer breath-taking views of the city. The gardens are a paradise for camellia lovers.

The best time to see them in bloom is between November and April.

There is also a baroque chapel and a magnificent 18th-century house.
